Self Esteem is not holding back
Issue 1663

Two British icons sat down with Big Issue over a cup of tea to put the world to rights. Pop sensation Self Esteem is a close friend of actor and activist Julie Hesmondhalgh – who even lends her voice to one of the songs on Self Esteem’s new album, A Complicated Woman, out later this month. The pair got political, covering everything from arts funding to Brexit, as well as sharing the sweet story of how they first met, back in 2015.
