Did everyone live happily ever after in Prince Charles’ magical kingdom?

Our main feature looks at the town of Poundberry, a model village Prince Charles hoped would solve the housing crisis. Twenty years after it was built, Adam Forrest paid a visit to see if everyone lived happily ever after in true fairytale style…

Dan Stevens left the comfort of Downton Abbey behind a couple of years ago and is now on the verge of breaking Hollywood. Andrew Burns caught up with him to ask important questions like whether he could beat Benedict Cumberbatch in a fight – “There’s only one way to find out”, apparently.

We also talk to serial movie villain Mark Strong about why playing baddies is more fun, and his thoughts about Our Friends in the North alumni Christopher Eccleston and Daniel Craig.

The independence referendum is drawing ever closer but Scots have proved they’re Still Game for a laugh as Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill reunite their comedy characters Jack and Victor. The pair have sold over 200,000 tickets in their sell-out run in Glasgow that starts this month. On the Scottish cover, hopefully they’ll help sell a similar amount of magazines!

We also run tributes to John White, a vendor in Edinburgh who sadly passed away this week. John was a familiar face in the city and a great ambassador for The Big Issue. His passing reminds us of the important place Big Issue vendors have in communities and why we should celebrate our vendors.
