Liam Geraghty
Liam has written for The Big Issue since 2017, originally starting out as a Junior Writer/Sub-Editor before taking over as Senior Reporter in 2019. That role sees him take charge of news and investigations relating to homelessness and social issues as well as covering the work The Big Issue does in communities across the UK. He also helps Big Issue vendors tell their story. Away from that beat, Liam writes about politics, sport and a wide variety of other subjects, including crowbarring his passion for video games into his coverage wherever he can. He started his Big Issue career in innovative fashion, writing and editing a Southampton FC programme as part of a unique team-up between the two. Liam has also carried out a number of big-name interviews, including making headlines all over the world by explaining Brexit to rocker Ozzy Osbourne. He previously worked in the national press and has been published widely across UK outlets as well as in international publications.
