Foundation partners with Coopah Running for London Marathon

The Big Issue Foundation is excited to be partnering with Coopah Running providing personalised, adaptable training plans for our runners.

The Big Issue Foundation are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Coopah Running for the London Marathon!

What is Coopah?

Coopah is a digital running coach which helps members hit their running goals and provides the support of a traditional running club through their innovative app without paying the steep price for a personal coach.

Coopah supports members throughout their running journey. From providing unlimited personalised training plans tailored to each person and their goals to being part of a training group with other runners to provide motivation and support. Coopah believes that everyone should be rewarded for running, no matter their ability.

Coopah is on a mission to improve 10 million peoples mental and physical strength through running.  This is why for every subscription brought, they have partnered with Fuel Bank Foundation in order to provide a lifetime subscription to someone in need. For every subscription purchased, they donate a runstart package to a person in need, including a lifetime subscription to the app, a running t-shirt, and training tips.

What does this mean for the Big Issue?

“Coopah are delighted to be partnering with the Big Issue as their official run coaching partner.  When it comes to entering a challenge of a lifetime, it is important that the fundraisers can have an easy to use and personalised running plan at their fingertips. It is great to see the Big Issue see the value in supporting their running fundraisers by offering Coopah and we are super excited to support all the superhumans smash their race.”

Pete Cooper, Co-Founder of Coopah

As part of our partnership with Coopah, all Big Issue marathon runners will get 4 months of free access to the Coopah app. The Coopah app will act as a personal coach as they prepare for the world’s biggest race.

On top of the personalised, adaptable training plans, our runners will also be able to use the app to access a Big Issue Club chat where they can talk with other runners for tips, support, or motivation.

The Coopah app is a first on the coaching market and we are excited to be able to offer it to our runners as a thanks for running to end poverty and homelessness for Big Issue vendors.

For anyone not participating in the London Marathon but planning to participate in another one of our running events, we are still offering one month free to Coopah to kickstart their training.

“We are super excited to be able to partner with Coopah and offer this support to our runners. The fact that in turn it provides a lifetime subscription to someone in need is incredible.”
