Make 2021 the year you do something amazing

Challenge yourself and join our fight to end poverty and homelessness for Big Issue vendors.

Whether you’re lacing up your trainers for the first time, looking for a way to stay active during lockdown or dreaming of a brand new challenge to look forward to once this all blows over, there are loads of ways you can get involved.

The current lockdown means that 1340 Big Issue vendors are once again unable to sell the magazine and earn an income. Take on a personal challenge whilst raising vital funds to ensure we can continue to provide vital support to Big Issue vendors when they need it most.

Check out some of the ways you can get involved:

Couch to 5K Challenge

Start your fitness journey in 2021 and join us in the Couch to 5km Challenge! In need of some motivation? Join our Couch to 5K Facebook group where you can meet other runners taking on the challenge, share tips and encouragement.

Whatever you choose to do we’ll be on hand with fundraising ideas and tips to support you all the way. Get in touch with the events team on events@bigissue.com if you have any questions or would like to chat about any of these events.

Support someone in your own community

With our online vendor map, you can support a local vendor by supplementing their income with a subscription to Big Issue. For every annual subscription sold via a vendor, a vendor receives £50.
