Vendor Christian’s dog wins bravery award

Vendor Christian's three-legged Lurcher, George, has recently been given a bravery award after treatment he received as a result of a bad attack by another dog in Weston-super-Mare.

An animal charity, who Christian was already registered with, provided the funding for George’s veterinary care and we are told that he was very trusting and accepting of the treatment he received.

Vendor Christian’s three-legged Lurcher, George, has recently been given a bravery award after treatment he received as a result of a bad attack by another dog in Weston-super-Mare.

An animal charity, who Christian was already registered with, provided the funding for George’s veterinary care and we are told that he was very trusting and accepting of the treatment he received.

We posted a story about George back in September after Christian received a grant from the Vendor Support Fund to help buy a trailer for George to attach to his bike. As George only has 3 legs, getting to and from the Big Issue pitch where Christian sells every day was painful for George. Despite not having a lot Christian was determined to pay half of the cost of the trailer and won support from the Vendor Support Fund to pay for the other half.

We wish George a speedy recovery and big congratulations on his award!
