Free entry with this week’s Big Issue at The Other Art Fair

The Big Issue has teamed up with Shangri-La at The Other Art Fair in London – win Ben Eine or Charming Baker prints and gain free entry

You can get FREE entry to The Other Art Fair on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week by showing a copy of this week’s Big Issue magazine at the door. Entry normally costs £10, so for your £2.50 you get a fabulous magazine PLUS a chance to see some cutting edge art.

The Other Art Fair is celebrating 20 years of bringing the best new breakthrough original art direct to art lovers’ walls, by cutting out the middlemen – and galleries – and allowing buyers to purchase directly from the artists themselves.

In association with our good friends Shangri-La, who invited us to join them at Glastonbury Festival earlier this summer, The Big Issue will have a wall in their ShangrilArt corner of the Fair, highlighting some of the Big Issue art exclusives – which will also be available to buy.

Ben Eine and Charming Baker

Ben Eine, who created the CELEBRATE cover (above) exclusively to mark the sale of the 200 millionth copy of The Big Issue, is giving us two prints to sell at the Fair – the Shutter and Circus renderings of his unique typographical masterpiece.

And the cover (below) created to celebrate The Big Issue’s 25th anniversary last year by Charming Baker, the artwork called Falling Man, will also be available to buy.

And if you say hello and sign up for our mailing list at The Big Issue stand, you will be entered into a draw to win one of the three prints.

Artists including Benjamin Thomas Taylor, Jessica Wilson, Adam Green and Yuki Aruga have also agreed to sell artworks with proceeds going to The Big Issue – so look out for the special stickers on artworks around the entire Fair.

Presented in association with Saatchi Art, this landmark 20th edition of The Other Art Fair will showcase artwork by 130 talented emerging artists, plus a host of special events including: an appearance by guest artist Reeps One with exclusive signed prints; talks by industry experts; Guardian VR: Beat the Hustler and pit your wits against a wily street hustler in London; Soho Radio presenting an eclectic music programme; leading tattoo artists Hand Poke Tattoos, with a selection of exclusive designs by the celebrated Dan Hillier; Kids Create for youngsters to get hands-on with art; a loud message love, rebellion and humour at the ShangrilArt room; and food and drink to truly get excited about.

The Other Art Fair is open to the public on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London E1
