We want kids to get creative for our first ever Spring cover competition!

It's time for artists of 12 years old and under to show us who their heroes are and be in with a chance of having their work on the cover of The Big Issue magazine

The Big Issue's spring cover competition for kids 12 and under

This week we are launching a search for some of Britain’s brightest and best young artists. We are looking for designs for our Spring Cover Competition.

Every Christmas, The Big Issue Cover Competition draws in hundreds and hundreds of entries. And we think the time is right for our first ever spring version.

If you’re a parent who knows that there are times between the Joe Wicks wakeup and the end of the day when children in lockdown need something, ANYTHING, to keep them occupied – we want to help.

We’re seeking entries from artists of 12 years old and under. The theme is HEROES. It’s up to creative young minds to take that wherever they fancy. It could be based around the NHS. It could be because some local young people are delivering food parcels to those most in need. It could simply be their favourite superhero who is inspiring them through lockdown. There is no limit here, except time. We need entries by May 29.

The winning entry will be on the cover of The Big Issue. It will go not just to our growing army of subscribers, but into Sainsbury’s, McColl’s and Co-op stores across Britain. Any and all manner of materials are acceptable.

HOW TO ENTER

Entries need to be emailed to editorial@bigissue.com (marked Spring Cover Competition) – but you can also share them on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to spread the word.
