In a world exclusive, King Charles III has written a piece for The Big Issue. The historic cover portrait was taken for us by renowned photographer Rankin.

As the monarch prepares to celebrate his 75^th birthday, he wanted to shine the spotlight on a good cause – much like his son Prince William did when he went out to sell The Big Issue alongside a vendor last summer.

The King writes how he is concerned about “cost of living pressures” existing at a time when tonnes of food is being wasted. His Coronation Food Project aims to redirect food surplus to those who need it most, aiming to support 200 million meals to be made available.
