As the Russian invasion of Ukraine rages on, an aid worker at the organisation Narodna Dopomoha, based in the western city of Chernivtsi, tells The Big Issue how it is affecting people on the frontline.

Street papers in Eastern Europe and around the world are standing in solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

The International Network of Street Papers is urging politicians to “protect vulnerable communities, prevent further poverty and highlight street papers as a source of under-represented voices and justice-driven journalism”.
